I. Admission Category

1. Full-time medical students in Master’s and Doctor’s Degree in English or Chinese medium.

2. Full-time medical students in Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese medium.

II. Program and Major

III. Application Eligibility

1. Applicants shall bear non-Chinese nationalities, and shall be in good health conditions physically and psychologically, conduct well in behaviors and be excellent in academic performance. Applicants shall abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the discipline and regulations of Kunming Medical University and respect to the Chinese customs and manners as well.

2. This program is for new students only.

3.Academic requirements:

① Applicants for undergraduate programs shall have the senior-high school graduation certificate and be from 18-25 years of age.

② Applicants for master programs shall have the Bachelor’s degree with the similar majors and be from 18-35 years of age.

③ Applicants for doctoral programs shall have the Master’s degree with the similar majors. and be from 18-40 years of age.

3.Language proficiency requirements:

① Applicants for Chinese medium programs shall have the ability to join the professional studies in Chinese and bear the certificate of HSK 4 Chinese proficiency or above.

② Applicants for English medium programs shall have the ability to join the professional studies in English. English proficiency certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, or other corresponding English proficiency certificates are required for those whose native languages are not English, with the academic score being 6.0 or above and with each item no less than 5.0 for IELTS and with the Internet-based Testing score being 70 points or above and with each item no less than 15 for TOEFL. And other English proficiency test scores refer to the IELTS and TOEFL scores. Applicants who are of native English speakers or have been taught in English medium during their previous study levels, shall provide their English marks or shall have English Proficiency certificates provided by the previous schools. Applicants who have HSK 3 Certificate or above will have the priority for admission.

V. Admission Procedure

1. Application online

Applicants are required to complete the online-application on the CSC System by visiting the website http://www.campuschina.org, with Agent Number 10678 and Program Category "B" . Necessary documents should be provided as follows:

① CSC Application Form（automatically generated after the online application）;

② Scan copies of valid passport;

③ Scan copies of Physical Examination Record For Foreigner and the blood check report;;

④ Scan copies of notarized highest degree certificates, diploma and transcripts either in Chinese or in English;

⑤ Scan copies of HSK4 Certificate or above（Compulsory for Chinese medium program applicants and applicants for professional-degree postgraduate with English as the medium of construction）;

⑥ Scan copies of the English proficiency certificate（Compulsory for English medium program applicants）;

⑦ Personal resume and study plans written in Chinese or English;

⑧ Two recommendation letters written in English or Chinese from professors or associate professors (Compulsory for postgraduate programs applicants);

⑨ Scan copies of Non-criminal Certificate issued by authorities.

2. Notification and Interview

Kunming Medical University will exam and review all the documents and conduct the  interviews to the applicants who have passed the first examinations, and then recommend the name lists of the applicants selected to the CSC committee according to their performances.

3. CSC committee will examine the recommended name lists and decide the final admission lists.

VI. Admission Decision and Offer

1. Kunming Medical University shall mail JW202/JW201 forms and admission notices to the qualified applicants. International students who are admitted shall apply for X1 Visa in time and  register to the appointed college with all the original application materials and admission documents on the dates specified in the admission notices.

2. Scholarship recipients shall not be permitted to change their admission college, major of study, or duration of study.

3. Students who fail to register over two weeks shall give the leave applications in written form to the relevant college, otherwise their scholarship qualifications will be canceled after the deadline.
