2021 Guide for MBBS Admission

of Kunming Medical University

I.Introduction of MBBS Program

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) program is undergraduate program in English medium with 6 years-study duration.

II.Application Eligibility

1.Applicants who must be Non-Chinese citizens and be in good health conditions, good characters and abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the regulations of KMU.

2.Senior high school graduates or those who have the same education background or above. Scores meet the admission requirements of KMU.

3.Age: 18-25.

4.Applicants for this programs should provide corresponding English proficiency certificate. For those whose native language is not English, please provide test report of English language test (IELTS score not less than 6.0.The TOEFL Internet-based Testing score is not less than 85 points.Other English proficiency test scores refer to the IELTS and TOEFL scores). Applicants who speak English as their native language or been taught in English medium on the previous stages are exempt from the IELTS or TOEFL, must provide their English proficiency proofs.Applicants who have Chinese language foundation are encouraged to apply for English medium programs as well.

III.Application Deadline

January 1st, 2021- July1st, 2021

IV.Admission Procedure

1.Application online

Applicants are required to complete online-application on the International Students Service System of KMU,website:http://study.kmmc.cn .Necessary documents should be provided as follows:

①Application Form for Foreign Students to KMU（print after online application）

②Copy of valid passport;

③Copy of Physical Examination Record For Foreigner and blood check report;

④Copy of the high school graduation certificate and transcripts notarized by public notary departments;

⑤Copy of the English proficiency certificate;

⑥Curriculum Vitae and Study Plan written in English or Chinese;

⑦Copy of family financial situation documents;

⑧Copy of non-criminal certificate.

2.Notification and Interview

Kunming Medical University will assess all documents and take interviews to the applicants whose application documents are qualified ,then confirm the final admission name lists.

V.Admission Decision and Offer

1.Kunming Medical University mails JW202 Form and Admission Notice to the qualified  applicants.International students who are admitted need to apply for X1 Visa in time ,then come to  register with all original application materials and admission documents in International Education School of Kunming Medical University on the dates specified in the Admission Notice. Students who are unable to register over two weeks after the deadline without any explanation are considered as abandoning their admission qualifications to Kunming Medical University.

※2.Kunming Medical University will inform the admitted students of registration and teaching arrangements ,according to the relevant regulations and requirements of the People's Republic of China during against the pandemic COVID-19.

VII.Scholarship

Qualified MBBS students, except students who have received the Yunnan Provincial  Government Scholarship or SCS scholarship programs, are eligible to apply Kunming Medical University Scholarship in September from the second year.

The first rank prize（2%）：8,000RMB/year;

The second rank prize（4%）：5,000RMB/year;

The third rank prize（9%）：3,000RMB/year.
